So long, Go-go

We went to see Dr. Allison on Friday for your nine month visit. We were a little late because when you were nine months old, we all came down with the stomach flu. It was your first illness. (It was the fourth time I'd had it since Thanksgiving.) You weighed in at 20 lbs. (50th percentile for your age) and you are 30 1/2" tall (100th percentile). You are really starting to grow and change now. You are cruising along the furniture and my legs and the cabinets. I expect you'll walk within a month. You are eating all kinds of foods. I've been giving you pretty much everything but honey, peanut butter and strawberries (they're on the no-no list until your first birthday).

You don't have any teeth yet, but you are in that stage where EVERYTHING goes directly into your mouth. Today you found Paige's pet snail, Go-go, on the ground. We're pretty sure he had been dead for at least a day, but she was still carrying him around. Before I knew it, you had Go-go in your mouth. When I got him out, Paige held him in her hand and heard his shell crack. I'm pretty sure you cracked his shell in your mouth. It was a pretty upsetting ordeal for your sister. We took him outside and buried him in the tomato pot on the back porch. I'm just glad you didn't swallow him. ;)
