Passports

Our passports expire in 2012, and I was just thinking about how I'd really like to use them again before they do. It probably won't happen. Before you and Paige were born, Daddy and I traveled around the world. Well, not all the way around, but we went a lot of neat places. We saw the lights of Paris from Eiffel Tower at night. Beautiful! We lounged on hot black sand beaches in Santorini, Greece. Relaxing! We tasted silky, sweet gelato in Venice. Delicious (and only 1 Euro!). We saw the Parthenon, Big Ben, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Coloessum, the Grand Canyon. We skied down the Continental Divide. Before children (BC), we could do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted, but we didn't have you. Your dimpled smiles weren't there to greet us each morning. We had never heard your sweet baby voice say, "Hi," as we entered your room upon your awakening. We had never seen you crawl at lightning speed across the house to greet Dad when he came home from work. Our lives BC were fun, but we never knew how big our hearts could grow until there was you. So if our passports expire before we get to travel outside of the US again, it's no big deal. You and your sister take us on journeys we'll never forget each and every day.

  1. Who needs Paris when you hold the whole world in your arms?
